Dedicate a journal…

Doesn’t have to be anything fancy. Just a dedicated place to document your thoughts…

Okay, so now I have this sweet, fancy journal to write in. Now what?

I start each day by dating a new page. Why do you ask? Well, I’ve found that I may not remember five days from now that I had the same random thought five days ago. You see, you’ll soon discover that those recurring thoughts are going to lead you somewhere. It’s all about filtering on those that seem to bubble to the surface most often.

So my page looks like this:

Day 1, Month/Date/Year:

  1. Review the new job assignment email from company XYZ. Save templates, review the style sheet, and listen to the first few minutes of audio (30 minutes).

  2. Visit YouTube to learn how to build my website (56-minute video).

  3. Visit a freelancer website to see if there are any short gigs to make some spare cash. Sent one proposal (30 minutes).

  4. Continue updates on my day two blog…
